I was asked last minute to be a vendor for a craft fair in Baltimore this past weekend. Craft fairs are great, but having just a little over a week to prepare for one, not so much. I was scrambling all week to get my supplies, products, prices, table set up, and everything else together. So of course, my schedule for updating my site and keeping up with my Etsy shop orders fell behind.
If there's one thing I have learned from starting my own business, it's this: time management. Two very simple words that do not match in difficulty. Time management is what will get you on track & will keep you organized. Plan out your days, make a to-do list. It may seem silly at first, but trust me, it works!
I started reading Manage Your Day-to-Day from the 99U series. It helps you to "Build Your Routine, Find Your Focus, and Sharpen Your Creative Mind", or so says the title. Because that is what I truly believe the key to success is, managing your day and building your routine, or as I like to call it: "time management".
So since all of my craft fair madness has finally ended, here I go back on my journey to creating a better Etsy shop and blog. Wish me luck!
